Ms. Bridget-Tao Tang was born and raised in Shanghai and received her BA with honors in Chinese and Chinese Literature (Modern & Classical) from Shanghai University. Her B.A. thesis compared two female protagonists by Tolstoy (1828-1910) and Feng Menglong (1574-1646), and it was published in China.
Ms. Tang came to United States as a visiting scholar to teach Mandarin Chinese at Oberlin College. She also taught Mandarin Chinese and Chinese Calligraphy at Middlebury Summer School. She received her MA in Chinese and Chinese Literature (Modern & Classical) in Translation with a minor in Eastern Philosophy in Translation at UC-Boulder. Her M.A. thesis translated and researched the poetry of a Chinese woman Taoist poet (844?-868?) from the Tang Dynasty.
In 1993, Ms. Tang arrived in Silicon Valley, California and started China Bridge--to bridge cultures between China and the US. Our language & cultural teaching program in companies, schools, and communities has been assisting a wide variety of students including local engineers, attorneys, physicians, corporate executives and artists. And our young friends!
